New York is a place which holds many dear memories for me. Most of which, due to life, death, circumstance and serendipity, are memories of moments I won’t experience again, or in the way I did at the time. So, for that reason, NY has also become a place of many emotions for me, all intensified by the time (or lack of) I’ve spent there. But above all of those emotions is love and wonder, the essence of which I hope can be seen in these photos.
This continuous body of work is continuously dedicated to all the wonderful New Yorkers I have the pleasure to call my friends and family, but beyond all to Michael. Listening to you and Lisa talk, watching the city's lights grow distant in your rearview mirror as you drove me back—I’ll always remember that evening in Greenwich Village, and will always be thankful that in spite of everything, our paths were allowed to cross the way they did, at the points they did. Who'd have thought the Williamsburg Bridge could be such a beautiful crossroads?
